This class will revolutionize the way you make prong settings. Really!

I'm going to show you a technique that will make creating prong settings much easier than you ever imagined. You'll construct these beautiful, lightweight Gem Slice earrings, with delicate prong settings, in two different styles. And it's all done with an extremely student-friendly butane torch. To make these that much more lovely, you'll also learn how to add texture. I'll show you how to set gorgeous, faceted slices of gemstones, but this setting is also perfect for unusually shaped stones and objects. The beauty of this design is it's versatility. The techniques in this workshop can be applied to pendants, rings and other types of jewelry. You're going to love making these!

Gem Slice Earrings

Originally from Oregon, with a long stop in Texas, I now live in the wild west of Wyoming where my husband was born and raised. Wyoming has always been home to me and we're lucky to have an amazing, old farmhouse built in 1900, that sits at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains. We are host to deer, pheasant, wild turkeys, bald eagles, great horned owls, moose, osprey and even a bear in our yard. This is the setting for Owl Creek Studio, and the inspiration for much of my work.

Through years of practice in metalsmithing and jewelry making techniques I've developed a unique style of my own. I traveled the country, for years, to feed my love of teaching and discovered a true passion for sharing my knowledge of technique and design. I was one of the first instructors to offer online jewelry making classes and am proud to offer excellent and inspiring creative content, online and in person.
