What my students have said:

Sandy

TAKE THIS CLASS! This class literally baptized me into another whole facet of technique. I love resin, and Deryn's teaching is the best. You will learn how to do this on a very professional level if you decide to take it!

Lois

If I were there with you, I'd have to give you a hug and place an apple on you work station!! Never thought I could soak up so much knowledge just watching your videos but it's all in who the teacher is and how she presents it. Deryn, thanks so much for making my Virginia winter so darn bearable!

Maureen

This class was a game changer for me! I am sooooo novice to the craft...but this class gave me the comfort level to use a torch and solder etc, etc! Take this class!!!!! Deryn you demystified the fear of the torch for me and now I am excited to hit the ground running!

Originally from Oregon, with a long stop in Texas, I now live in the wild west of Wyoming where my husband was born and raised. Wyoming has always been home to me and we're lucky to have an amazing, old farmhouse built in 1900, that sits at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains. We are host to deer, pheasant, wild turkeys, bald eagles, great horned owls, moose, osprey and even a bear in our yard. This is the setting for Owl Creek Studio, and the inspiration for much of my work.

Through years of practice in metalsmithing and jewelry making techniques I've developed a unique style of my own. I traveled the country, for years, to feed my love of teaching and discovered a true passion for sharing my knowledge of technique and design. I was one of the first instructors to offer online jewelry making classes and am proud to offer excellent and inspiring creative content, online and in person.
